This year NCMC Member Services provided members the opportunity to learn and develop the skill of pregnancy testing. Two of the three courses have been completed with the third and final course postponed until a later date due to Covid-19. Participants attended the two day course conducted by accredited trainer Renee Rippon, a big thank you to Renee who did a great job. Components of the course included herd fertility management, reproductive anatomy, animal welfare and pregnancy testing. Over 150 breeders were presented at each property allowing participants to gain exposure to a wide range of gestational stages and pregnancy scenarios.
I am very appreciative for the host landholders who provided their cattle and facilities which afforded participants the privilege to learn this useful skill set. A big thanks to Kate Bell (and family), Bonalbo, Grant & Jo Bulmer, Bentley and Peter & Glenda Bowkett, Murwillumbah.
Well done to all the participants, it was a very positive two days spent together learning and networking, I hope this new skill offers value to your business.
