Chief Executive Officer
Simon Stahl has been working in the beef & pork processing industries for over 30 years. Simon is broadly experienced in the Australian meat processing industry having worked at KR Darling Downs in Toowoomba, Nippon Meat Packers Australia (NMPA), both at their Oakey site and NMPA owned subsidiary “Thomas Borthwick & Sons” site in Mackay and in Sydney.
Simon has a Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting Major and his professional career has spanned positions in payroll, IT, HR, Manager corporate affairs and Innovation, senior accountant, Managing Director of NMPA & Chief Executive Officer, NCMC. Simon currently sits on the AMIC National processor committee, is a member of the National Beef Export Council and has previously held the position of Director of the Australian Meat Processor Corporation (AMPC).
Group Manager, Systems and Compliance
Trevor has been involved in the meat industry for over 25 years. Starting at NCMC in 1989 he has gained knowledge and experience in conjunction with extensive studies. This has positioned him within his current role as Systems & Compliance Manager of the NCMC Group.
Trevor completed a Degree in Applied Science through UWS, holds qualifications in Meat Inspection and has achieved several international Quality Assurance and food safety qualifications.
Trevor participates within the sub committees of Australian Meat Processor Corporation (AMPC) to provide recommendation and direction to AMPC Board for government and industry based funding for Food safety projects and Market access issues. As a representative of the Australian Meat Industry Council (AMIC), Trevor also holds seats on the Export Meat Industry Advisory Council (EMIAC) and the Ecoli expert panel.
Group HR Manager
Dan commenced with the Northern Co-operative Meat Company Ltd as the WHS Manager in 2016. Dan took up the position of Group Human Resources Manager in 2018 and is responsible for all HR disciplines including payroll, recruitment and retention, employee engagement, industrial relations, workplace health and safety and training.
Dan has tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Workplace Health and Safety, Training and Assessment and Auditing and has worked in the agricultural and related industries for over 15 years.
General Manager Operations
Corey has over 20 years of meat industry experience, a Master of retail butchery, Certificate IV Meat Safety (meat inspection) and an AHRI Certificate IV in Human Resources.
Corey commenced with the Northern Co-operative Meat Company Ltd in 2002 as boning room supervisor at the organisations pork processing facility (BSP). Corey progressed to the role of production manager for the next 11 years. In 2013 Corey changed roles to the position of HR Manager for the NCMC Group until November 2017. Corey is now General Manager Operations. This role is responsible for all operations at Casino Service Processing, Casino Hide Tanners & Booyong Service Processing (BSP).
Corey also participates in the Implementation, Extension and Education program advisory committee of Australian Meat Processor Corporation (AMPC) providing recommendation and direction to the AMPC Board for government and industry based funding.
General Manager NCMC Foods
Mark’s association with the Northern Co-operative Meat Company Ltd (NCMC) can be traced back to the early 1970’s, when during school holidays and on weekends he would accompany his father Tom Manning to Casino who was then the Manager of Andersons Meat Packing, one of the largest Meat Companies operating out of Casino at the time. After finishing High School, Mark joined Lachlan Valley Meats for a number of years before establishing Northern Rivers Meats with his father Tom.
In August 2013, Mark commenced with NCMC, as General Manager of Manning Foods (in 2015 known as NCMC Foods), leading the marketing team on beef & veal, offal and by-product sales. During his 30+ year career within the red meat industry Mark has gained a number of Aus-Meat accreditations along with a vast array of contacts and a wealth of industry knowledge.
Group Commercial Manager Projects
Early in March 2018 Darran joined the Co-opin the position of Group Commercial Manager Projects. Darran studied in Lismore and holds a Bachelor of Business degree and then joined a public accounting practice based in Lismore in 1986. Darran was a principal in that practice for over 18 of those years and during his time he was a registered tax agent, registered company auditor and certified information systems auditor.
In that practice, Darran held a number of positions and conducted professional work across a large range of businesses (SMEs, medium businesses, non-profit organisations, co-operatives, and government organisations such as Councils, Universities, etc). Professional work performed by Darran included taxation planning and advice, business structuring advice, information technology reviews, due diligence reviews, audit and compliance reviews plus other services in a career spanning over 31 years. Darran applies his extensive commercial and business skills across all aspects of th eCo-op as a part of the Executive Team and works closely with all other Executives in a consultative role in each of their business units. Darran is also integral in resolving commercial issues and establishing the new ventures and business relationships impacting The Co-op.
PA to CEO and Company Secretary
Annabelle commenced her career having undertaken a Legal Course in Brisbane before moving to Gosford to work in a private solicitors firm for 2 years. She then moved to Casino gaining employment at a local legal firm, prior to joining the Northern Co-operative Meat Company Ltd in 1993 as personal Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer, a position she holds today.
Working with Senior management and the Board of Directors Annabelle has expanded her knowledge in the field of Corporate Governance and holds the position of Company Secretary, inclusive of her current PA role. Annabelle has successfully completed a Foundation of Directorship course with Australian Institute of Company Directors, and in August 2017 the Certificate of Governance Practice with the Governance of Institute of Australia. Annabelle is also a Board Member of Jumbunna Community Preschool & Early Intervention Centre Inc.
Commercial Supply Chain Manager
Jeremy has over 12 years of meat industry experience and has completed a Bachelor of Agribusiness in at the University of Queensland. In his final year of university he began working with The Australian Agricultural Company (AAco) as a production assistant based at Stanbroke’s abattoir in Grantham where AAco did a service kill. Within AAco Jeremy worked his way up to Production Manager before departing in 2011 to start work for the Northern Co-Operative Meat Company in a sales role.
Since joining the Co-op Jeremy has been in a variety of roles including sales, GM of Ramsey Meats Company and Senior Account Manager with NCMC Foods. Now with a strong background in sales both domestically and internationally Jeremy has taken on a new role as Commercial Supply Chain Manager.
