Chief Executive Officer
Simon started his career at KR Darling Downs in Toowoomba, while completing a Bachelor of Commerce, with an Accounting Major, through the University of Southern Queensland.
He joined Nippon Meat Packers Australia (NMPA) in 1992, working firstly at their Oakey site in roles including payroll, HR, IR before progressing to senior accountant. In 2003 he was appointed Managing Director of NMPA owned subsidiary “Thomas Borthwick & Sons” in Mackay, North Queensland.
In 2010, he moved to NMPA head office in Sydney, where he was General Manager corporate affairs and Innovation.
After 19 years with NMPA, Simon departed to take up the role of CEO for Northern Co-operative Meat Company Ltd (NCMC). NCMC is a 1500 member strong co-operative based in the Northern Rivers of NSW. Operating export accredited facilities, the business is the only Beef, Veal & Pork processing co-operative in the country.
Simon is broadly experienced in the Australian meat processing industry and currently sits on the AMIC processor committee (NSW), is a member of the National Beef Export Council and is a Director of the Australian Meat Processor Corporation (AMPC)
Group Manager, Systems and Compliance
Trevor has been involved in the meat industry for 25 years. Starting at NCMC in 1989 he has gained knowledge and experience in conjunction with extensive studies. This has positioned him within his current role as Quality Systems Manager of the NCMC Group.
Trevor completed a Degree in Applied Science through UWS, holds qualifications in Meat Inspection and has achieved several international Quality Assurance and food safety qualifications.
Trevor participates within the sub committees of Australian Meat Processor Corporation (AMPC) to provide recommendation and direction to AMPC Board for government and industry based funding for Food safety projects and Market access issues. As a representative of the Australian Meat Industry Council (AMIC), Trevor also holds seats on the Export Meat Industry Advisory Council (EMIAC) and the Ecoli expert panel.
Group Engineering Manager
Greg has been working in the maintenance and engineering industry for 25 years. The knowledge and experience he has gained in conjunction with extensive studies has allowed him to develop from an apprentice fitter and machinist to his current position as Group Engineering Manager of NCMC.
Greg has completed an Associate Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Diploma in Meat Processing as well as undertaking numerous engineering based courses to enhance his professional development.
Greg participates within the technical committee of Australian Meat Processor Corporation (AMPC) to provide recommendation and direction to AMPC Board for government and industry based funding for R&D projects, concepts and development.
Group Manager of Human Resources
Corey has over 20 years of meat industry experience, a Master of retail butchery, Certificate IV Meat Safety (meat inspection) and an AHRI Certificate IV in Human Resources.
Commencing with the Northern Co-operative Meat Company Ltd in 2002 as boning room supervisor at the organisations pork processing facility, Corey progressed to the role of production manager for the next eight years. In 2013 Corey progressed to his current position of HR Manager for the NCMC group. This position is responsible for the WHS, HR and industrial relations function of the group, that includes; Casino Hide Tanners, Casino service processing, Booyong service processing, NCMC foods and an offsite Cold store facility in Grafton (south of Casino).
Corey also participates in the Implementation, Extension and Education program advisory committee of Australian Meat Processor Corporation (AMPC) providing recommendation and direction to the AMPC Board for government and industry based funding.
Juan Du Preez
Chief Financial Officer
Juan has been working in the agricultural and related industries for 15 years. He joined NCMC in 2010 as Group Accountant and has been in the CFO role since 2012.
Juan completed a Bachelor of Accounting and an Honours Bachelor of Accounting Science and has been a Chartered Accountant for 20 years.
Geoff has been involved in the meat industry for 25 years. Starting with NCMC in 1989 he has gained knowledge and experience is all aspect of NCMC’s operation.
During this time Geoff has also completed a Diploma in Meat Processing and other associated industry based studies and training courses.
This has allowed Geoff to work his way into the current position of Plant Manager.
PA to CEO and Company Secretary
Annabelle commenced a legal career having undertaken a Legal Course in Brisbane before moving to Gosford to work in a private solicitors firm for 2 years. She then moved to Casino gaining employment at a local legal firm, prior to joining the Northern Co-operative Meat Company Ltd in 1993 as personal Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer, a position she holds today.
Working with Senior management and the Board of Directors Annabelle has expanded her knowledge in the field of Corporate Governance and holds the position of Company Secretary, inclusive of her current PA role. Annabelle has successfully completed a Foundation of Directorship course with Australian Institute of Company Directors, and in August 2017 the Certificate of Governance Practice with the Governance of Institute of Australia.
Annabelle has been involved within the rural agricultural sector for all her life and runs a successful business (dairy operation) with her husband at Casino and has a keen interest in sports.
